The entire lake is part of the Fanes-Sennes Braies National Park and areas around the lake are private property. For this reason it is forbidden to fly drone!
Please respect this restriction, especially for the sake of the wildlife!
Please note that any violation of this rule can result in high fines!
As the Braies Lake is part of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies National Park, neither your own boats nor stand-up paddleboards are allowed.

ATTENTION! The ticket for the „Shared Boat Ride Experience“ and the „Private Boat Ride Experience“ can only be bought on site!
You may have to wait up to 2h during high season.
Max. 5 adults can be accommodated in one boat.
Children of all ages are welcome on the boat tour on the Lago di Braies. Children or young people under 16 must be accompanied by an adult during the boat trip.
The price for children
Children up to 4 years of age ride the boat for free
Children from 4-10 years pay 10€ per person
Each child counts as one person in the boat (i.e. max. 5 persons incl. children)
The Private Boat Ride Experience, allows you to bring your dog on board with you. Please be aware that dogs are not allowed on the other offers!
Around the lake there are several establishments where you can buy food and drinks and there is access to several toilets.
Unfortunately, you cannot buy food and drinks in the Boathouse itself and there is no toilet.
Kayaks or stand-up paddleboards cannot be rented at the lake.
The Boathouse at Lago di Braies exclusively rents out wooden rowing boats.
Also keep in mind, that Kayaks or stand-up paddleboards are prohibited on the lake.
There are several parkung options available fpr your day in Braies.
The Braies Valley is closed from July 01, 2026, to September 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During this period, a parking reservation is required (for car park P1), which can be made on the websitewww.prags.bz/en. A shuttle service from car park P1 to Lake Braies is provided.
Outside of this period and these times, no reservation is required.
For the car parks P2, P3 and P4, reervations cannot be made, therefore the availability of space cannot be gauranteed. These car parks are subject to charges. Alternatively, you can reach Lake Braies with bus line 442 from the train stations in Niederdorf and/or Welsberg.
If you travel by car, you can park directly at the lake. There are three car parks that are open 24 hours a day. However, please be aware of the closing times of the road! From 01.07.26 to 15.09.26 the road from Ferrara to the lake will be closed from 09.00 to 16.00. For more detailed information, please visit the website of the Braies Valley Tourism Association:
